Croatia skipper Nico Kovac went from zero to hero in this clash, scoring for both sides as Hungary retained the UFWC title.
Kovac headed home a corner to put his side in front after 23 minutes, but, on the stroke of half-time, he headed another corner into his own net.
Kovac almost made amends in the 55th minute, heading another corner against the Hungary crossbar, but it was a game of few chances, and Croatia will have to improve if they are to make any impression in the Euro competition.
Hungary failed to qualify for Euro 2008, so unfortunately the UFWC title will not be contested at that tournament.
The next FIFA-scheduled UFWC title match is a World Cup Qualifier between Hungary and Sweden on 10 September, however reports suggest Hungary will play Montenegro on 20 August.
EDIT: Confirmed by FIFA: The next UFWC title match is a friendly match between Hungary and Montenegro on 20 August.

The next scheduled UFWC title match is NOT the World Cup Qualifier between Hungary and Sweden on 10 September.
Before that there will be a friendly Hungary – Macedonia on the 20th of August in Puskas Ferenc stadium.
After on 6th of Sept Hungary – Denmark and then finaly 10th of Sept Sweden – Hungary
Sorry, Montenegro instead of Macedonia!
So Hungary – Montenegro is the next UFWC title match.
