Angola 1-0 Zimbabwe
Luanda, 10/10/04

Another single-goal home win for the reigning champions, who just keep on keeping on. Petro Atletico striker Flavio scored the goal in the 52nd minute. The Palancas Negras are now top of their World Cup Qualifying group, ahead of Nigeria, having taken 11 points from five matches. They are also now ranked 31st in the UFWC all-time rankings with five ranking points.

Angola’s next World Cup Qualifier is not until March, when they take on Zimbabwe in a return fixture. Before that, there is the final of the COSAFA Castle Cup, against either Zimbabwe or Zambia. Those two teams play their semi final on 24 October. The final will then be contested over two legs played on either 6 or 7 November and either 20 or 21 November. So the next UFWC match should be played on 6 or 7 November 2004.
