Sweden v Peru: Match result

Peru took on Sweden in a UFWC title match that was also a World Cup warm-up. Peru have been UFWC champions since August 2017. Sweden are among the top ten most successful UFWC teams, and sit 7th in the all-time rankings with 28 title match wins. Both Peru and Sweden were looking to take the UFWC title to Russia 2018. A goalless draw means Peru retain the UFWC title, and they will be the Unofficial Football World Champions going into the World Cup.

New UFWC book updated for 2018

New for 2018, the latest revised and updated edition of the official UFWC book, Unofficial Football World Champions by Paul Brown, is out now. This is the fourth edition of the book that has been published in every World Cup year since 2006. The new edition is expanded to include new matches, teams, players and statistics. It’s fully up to date to the start of 2018, including all 936 UFWC title matches played since 1872 and all 48 unofficial football world champions.

New UFWC book for 2014

New for 2014, the revised and updated edition of the official UFWC book, Unofficial Football World Champions by Paul Brown, is out on 6 January. This is the third edition of the book that was labelled ‘a fascinating history of football’ by FourFourTwo magazine in a five-star review. The new edition is expanded to include new matches, teams, players and statistics. It’s fully up to date to the start of 2014, including all 879 UFWC title matches played between 1872 and 2014 – right up to last month’s Uruguay versus Jordan matches, and all 48 unofficial football world champions – right up to current champions Uruguay…
