The first goal was a diving header from Cerro defender Diego Godin, and the second was an own-goal from Abdel Al-Saqqa. Egypt, without key players including star man Mido, created several good chances, but have now failed to win a match since winning the African Nations championships. Uruguay, meanwhile, have gone six games without defeat.
