9 June 2018 Ullevi, Gothenburg Friendly Peru took on Sweden in a UFWC title match that was also a World Cup warm-up. Peru have been UFWC champions since August 2017. Sweden are among the top ten most successful UFWC teams, and sit 7th in the all-time rankings with 28 title match wins. Both Peru and Sweden were looking to take the UFWC title to Russia 2018. A goalless draw means Peru retain the UFWC title, and they will be the Unofficial Football World Champions going into the World Cup.
