After defeating Armenia by the same scoreline on the previous day, Romania beat Slovenia 2-0 to retain the UFWC title and win the Cyprus International Football Tournament. Ionut Mazilu scored in the first half, and Solvenia’s Andrej Pecnik netted an own-goal in the second. 24 hours earlier, Romania had easily beaten Armenia with goals from defender Vasily Maftei and Razvan Cocis. In an odd end to the tournament, Romania finished top of Group 2, while Greece finished top of Group 1, but there was no match between the two sides, who shared the Cypriot title.
